Celine Marie Claudette Dion was born in Charlemange, a small town near Montreal. Her 14 siblings are all musical, many are singers and they all play instruments, even her mom and dad. When she was 5 years old, she sang at her oldest brothers wedding, that is when she decided she wanted to be a singer. When she was 12 her mother wrote her a song called "Ce n'etait Qu'un reve" which means "It was only a dream" Celine and her brother Jaques wrote the music for the song, they sent it to a famous manager in Quebec named Rene Anglelil.Rene did not call back right away but then after jaques called him he listened to the homemade tape and called right back..for Celine's first album rene morgaged his house. Album after album celine started becoming famous in her hometown and then in all of Quebec and then larger and larger but rene wanted celine to go to the US and sing in english so when Celine was 18 she was already a famous singer in Quebec and she was starting to fall in love with rene. Rene left for a year and told celine to learn english because he was going to make her a international star. When rene came back he admitted his love for celine and they were a couple. Rene forced celine to not tell anyone because he thought no one would like her because she loved a man more then twice her age. Well album after album in america, celine became more famous but she was still not happy because she could not be open about her love for rene. So after 5 years of hiding it celine cam out and pronounced her love in the liner notes of her third english album called "The Colour of my love" Afer celines fans embraces the couple. Then celine and rene got married. A couple years later celine had become the biggest star and was a international star but she still wanted to have a baby. But something stopped her, celine and rene found that rene had cancer, it took 38 treatments and celine was by his side on every one, she canceled months of tour dates to be with him. A year later celine left the spotlight and rene was cured of cancer and celine was pregnant. Who knows if she will come back but I know we all want her to.
